Day Trip To Dover Castle From London | Tips That Will Actually Help You

Views from Dover Castle

When the curiosity to see a new place ended up into a day trip adventure to ‘Dover Castle’.

The journey from London St Pancras to Dover Priority Station took about 1 hour 35 minutes and costs us £79.80 (2x return tickets on javelin at any time). Once at the Station, the steep walk to Dover Castle is about 15-20 minutes. There’s also a bus service available but we decided to walk to the castle.

We were clueless how huge this castle was and that, we were gonna end up spending the whole day here. My impromptu adventure to Dover Castle meant I wasn’t prepared for this trip and there’s few things I discovered the hard way.

Sharing My First Road Trip Experience

January 2016, I embarked on my first ‘road trip‘ with my cousins and my adventurous uncle. I had travelled to India to visit a dear friend (who was ill) and to spend the New Year with my family in Mumbai. Travelling solo meant I had no one to tell me what to do and what not to do. Best feeling ever when you can make your own decisions and do whatever you want. A freedom that is rarely bestowed upon some asian girls and boys for that matter.

My First Time in Brighton

2017 is proving to be (so far) a year of “first time” moments for me. I have been living in the UK for 15 years now but never been to Brighton (I hope i’m not the only one).

You may remember from my previous post that I was in Lewes for the LTA Summit and considering Brighton is just 30 minutes away, I decided this was the perfect opportunity to tick Brighton off the #bucketlist.
From visiting the famous Brighton Pier that everybody talks about to eating Fish and Chips to visiting the Royal Pavilion were some of the things I wanted to do. Do you think I managed to achieve this?

Attending “Live The Adventure #LTASummit”- Was it the right decision?

Attending #LTASummit with Louis Cole

Last year, @funforlouis announced that the Live The Adventure Club was organising a travel summit for like minded explorers to achieve their biggest travel dreams.

I’ve always wanted to travel and explore new places since I was a kid and this passion keeps getting stronger and stronger as I age.

When the tickets went on sale, I purchased without blinking my eye lids. I was so excited to have scored the tickets but then reality kicked in?

I’m not a you-tuber neither have I travelled much compared to people attending the #LTASummit. You can imagine how petrified I was (anxiety levels went straight to 200). I was overthinking to a point where I had made up my mind of skipping the event. The thought of me being the only one at the summit without a channel made me sick (not forgetting that I haven’t even explored my backyard let alone travelled the world).

After contemplating for the longest time, I took the plunge. I grabbed my bags and embarked on the Live The Adventure journey.
