How To Boost Your Confidence | Tips You Need To Try Out Now - Fronam's Diary

Train your mind to BELIEVE IN YOURSELFCONFIDENCE plays a huge role in how we live our lives. It either makes us or breaks us.

Summer is finally here (who’s excited?) and it’s almost Easter. Some of you girls might be struggling with the choice of outfits to wear because ‘YOU’ feel you don’t have the body to carry it. On the other hand, there are some who may not have the ‘particular body” but they do have the confidence, so they are able to pull off that outfit with ease.

Some of us might skip events because you think no one will find you interesting enough to talk to you. I’ve done it in the past and still do. I’ve missed out on some really cool networking events only because my confidence level was very low.

These are some of the tips that has helped me shape my confidence over the years and I want you to try them.

  • Train your Mind to say I CAN
Our mind tricks us to believe that we are not worthy enough of accomplishing our dreams. This impacts hugely our confidence and stops us from trying new things and meeting new people. Every-time your mind says; you cannot, confront it with ‘I CAN  and I will’ and go out and prove it. This way, you’re slowly training your mind to believe that YOU CAN achieve any goal.
  •  Compliment a Stranger
Have you ever tried complimenting a stranger? No? You should give it a try guys. It could be as small as; ‘those are nice pair of shoes you’re wearing’. This will instantly put a smile on that person’s face and also a much-needed boost to your confidence. I cannot tell you how good it makes you feel about yourself.

  • Get Out of Your Comfort-Zone
“By doing things that scares you the most, you are opening up to more adventures”. 
Sounds scary right? Hell yeh! It still scares the s*** out of me lol. But blogging forces me to try out different things and push my comfort levels.
It freaks me out sometimes but the end result has always been good like Live The Adventure Summit. I nearly skipped the event because my confidence level was very low. I thought I would be the odd one out. But, I forced myself and it was one of the best decisions and a perfect start to 2017.

  • Travel Alone
This could be abroad, within your own country or going shopping alone. In my case, a trip to McDonald’s lol.

I was on my own doing some shopping and at the end of it I was very hungry. The thought of me sitting alone and eating gave me anxiety.  I thought people would laugh and stare at me and call me a loser. So decided to eat when I get home. But, When hunger strikes, I cannot function (let me know if it happens to you too). I just went in, ordered a meal and tried to find a seat in the corner.

The only seats available were in the middle, the long table with high chairs? As if things weren’t bad enough. I looked around to see if anyone was watching me lol but people were too busy with their burgers and milkshakes.

That incident really helped my confidence and now I don’t shy away from eating alone.

When you travel alone, you are forced to make connections, do things on your own. Experiences like this will only make you stronger.
  • Network with Like Minded People
Surround yourself with positive people who will encourage and motivate you because this is a huge confidence booster. The Meet Up site is a great place to find people who shares the same passion and drive as you do.
I cannot tell you how much of a difference it makes when someone believes in you and pushes you to work harder.
  • Accept your Failures and LEARN From Them
We all make mistakes and I’m sure All successful people must have failed at some point in their life. I tend to beat myself (not physically lol) Do you do the same?
                           “Sometimes good falls apart to make way for the better”
At-least that’s what I like to believe. Every thing that has gone wrong or right in our life has brought us to where we are right now. One small thing and it would have been a completely different story. Don’t dwell too much on those failure because it will only blow your confidence. Instead, put that energy into your new goal.

I hope you add these tips in your daily life and watch your confidence level rise up. Go on, wear the dress you always wanted to, tell the girl/boy you like that she looks beautiful or he looks handsome. It’s the small things that makes a huge difference.
